Living a Zombie Dream is a shot-on-video movie from 1994. Starring Amon Elsey, Frank Alexander, Michelle White, and Mike Smith. 

Living a Zombie Dream is a surreal dreamscape dealing with revenge and then more revenge. Haunted by his actions, a man believes he is turning into a zombie.

Living a Zombie Dream in 2023

A newly remastered version of Living a Zombie Dream was finished in 2023. The new version is a different cut, structured slightly different from the original version. The story remains the same but the way it plays out is slightly altered. Since the movie involves dream states, structure is a bit loose, floating between the ideas that affect the protagonist. 

Also new in the 2023 version is the sound and music. The old score was completely deleted and a new one created. Because there isn't much dialogue, sound is what carries the movie from scene to scene. There are many new sound effects and soundscapes in the movie, creating a much more surreal atmosphere than what was in the original version.

There is also a lot of clean up of the footage. Everything has been digitally enhanced and brightened. The scenes are clearer, the blood is redder, the nightmares more intense.

The 2023 version is more in line with what the director had originally intended; a surreal landscape of guilt, remorse, and revenge that will haunt your dreams, both asleep and awake.
